Limited FPR-UCLA Scholarships are available for:
Conference Scholarship Eligibility will be based upon “closeness of fit” of applicants’ academic and research backgrounds and achievements, and current work or studies relevant to our conference topic. Please provide a brief paragraph describing your research interests, current work or studies that are relevant to the conference topic, why you would like to attend the conference, and how it would be useful to you, as well as your current curriculum vita.
We will refund the $135 Conference Registration Fee at the end of the conference. You must attend all 2 days of the conference in order to be eligible for a refund. If you wish to apply for a refund of the $135 conference registration fee at the end of the conference, please complete the following steps:
Conference scholarship application materials must be received at UCLA CTO by June 15, 2015. At the UCLA Central Ticket Office (James West Alumni Center), you must complete the following:
Submit a copy of your current curriculum vita and brief summary of your academic and research background and achievements online by June 15, 2015.
The curriculum vita must include information about your educational background (completed, earned academic degrees, and/or academic degrees in progress), research publications, research presentations, and other achievements, and current work or studies that are relevant to the conference topic.
Please include a brief paragraph describing your research interests, current work or studies that are relevant to the conference topic, why you would like to attend the conference, and how it would be useful to you, as well as your current curriculum vita.
You will be notified shortly after June 15th if you were selected to receive a conference scholarship.
Remember, you must attend all 2 days of the conference in order to be eligible for a refund. Please be sure to sign in daily at the conference registration table (there will be a special sign-in sheet for Conference “Scholarship” Applicants), otherwise you will lose your eligibility. You will need to show your current UCLA, USC, or McGill University photo ID at sign-in.
On the last day of the conference, we will make a list available of graduate students and postdocs who have completed all the requirements and are eligible for refunds, along with instructions on how to process the refund.
