Arieh Shalev, MD

Arieh Shalev, M.D., was born in Israel and earned his medical degree from the University of Montpellier in France. Dr. Shalev is currently Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Hadassah University Hospital. He is the founding Director of the Center for Traumatic Stress at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem. He is the editor and co-founder of Sihot 'Dialogue', in the Israel Journal of Psychotherapy. Dr. Shalev's research concerned posttraumatic stress disorders in adults: etiology, course and treatment. His research has been supported by NIH/NIMH, US-Israel Binational Science Foundation, the Chief Scientist-Ministry of Health, Israel and other sources.
