We hope this email finds you and your family well!
We write to share progress on next steps for our Network activities, and to highlight the 3 new blog posts below. Our members have been making amazing contributions to public discourse and welfare during the ongoing crisis. Please share your own contributions, and we will post them as well.
Recall that we initially planned to continue our conversations and build collaborations by holding small group meetings during the McGill summer courses. With their cancellation, we shifted to a plan for holding CMB Zoom meetings for sharing our research and theoretical interests and discuss pressing issues over the summer. Accordingly, we sent out a survey to tap member priorities. Thanks to all who replied!
Survey results
Respondents overwhelming indicated an interest in opportunities for exchange and noted the "hot topics" they are interested in pursuing. The most popular choices for group discussion were:
Theory of constructed emotion
Religion and mind/brain/health
Methods-oriented exchange on use of digital platforms, and other use of tech and visual media for data collection and intervention
We are working toward convening our first CMB network Zoom meeting in June. Stay tuned!
We extend caring thoughts for your well-being and because nature heals, please enjoy reminders of all the vibrant life out there that apparently is benefiting from the human hiatus. |
